Looking For:We are looking for a Team Leader who care about the
guest and team member experience and is commitment to maintaining
our resort property at the highest level of safety and comfort.Who
You Are:Someone who
- Has a thorough understanding of Laundry operation and the
support that is provided to the hotels and resorts.
- Is a skilled leader and communicator
- Focuses on problem solving
- Priorities the safety of our guests and team members
- Enjoys providing a high level of service in both the front and
back of the houseWhat You Will Do:
- Assist with overseeing all laundry operations, to include the
coordination of production and the preparation of reports to ensure
adequate response to respective hotels needs for Guest Room
linen/terry, Food and Beverage linen, employee uniforms and guest
valet; adherence to established operational budgetary guidelines
and federal, state, and locally mandated safety and environmental
regulations
- Ensures adherence to all department and Loews Hotels
guidelines, policies and procedures
- Supervises of personnel, work assignments, and scheduling of
product/ equipment usage to maximize performance and productivity
of available resources
- Communicates frequently with hotel leadership to obtain
information necessary to establish production schedules which
address the current needs of the individual properties with regard
to linen & terry
- Establishes procedures for the Laundry/ Valet department,
designed to ensure efficient operation and delivery of quality
product in a timely manner
- Interacts with Engineering on equipment repairs and preventive
maintenance schedules, monitors performance of all recommended/
required activities to ensure equipment performs safely,
efficiently and that down time is kept to a minimum
- Monitors chemical usage so as to maintain acceptable "per
pound" production process cost
- Complies with required safety regulations and procedure
- Determines need for, and conducts appropriate on-going training
on equipment operation, sorting, safety and basics of laundry/valet
productionYour Experience Includes:Required:
- Two to five years supervisory level experience in a full
service laundry/dry cleaning operation, within the Hospitality
industry or a commercial dealing with hospitality clients
- Knowledge of modern laundry and dry cleaning equipment
operation and production capabilities
- Knowledge of laundry and dry cleaning chemicals, their use and
MSDS safety related requirement
- Effective managerial, leadership and organizational skills
- Effective written and verbal and non-verbal communications
skills
- Ability to work flexible schedule to include weekends and
holidaysPreferred
- Basic knowledge of the mechanics of laundry equipment
- Prior experience in hospitality housekeeping or laundry
environments
- Bi-lingual language skillsWho You'll Supervise:
- A team of Laundry Team Members to include wash persons,
laundry/valet attendants and drivers responsible for maintaining
the delivery hotel linen that meets the Loews standards of quality
control and timeliness..
