Friday 8:00am - 5:00pmPRINCIPAL DUTIES AND JOB
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead overall Campus growth strategy development and execution;
develop and lead revenue generation and business development
initiatives consistent with the mission.
- Identify high priority strategic opportunities, risks, key
capital projects, and potential acquisitions and partnerships.
Ensure each strategic initiative has a robust and complete business
plan, which includes sound market data as well as a strong
financial pro forma.
- Partner with Market leadership to align key stakeholders around
strategic priorities.
- Develop and lead the execution of strategic initiatives to
drive business growth; operationalize growth and physician
alignment strategies; facilitate smooth handoff to operations as
soon as appropriate.
- Ensure that appropriate metrics are in place to measure
performance and progress towards strategic goals.
- Identify and pursue potential capital projects, provider
affiliations, and partnerships to achieve strategic goals.
- Coordinate with Finance to prioritize capital projects and
develop business plans, including detailed assumptions to inform
pro formas.
- Collaborate on efforts to identify merger or acquisition
targets, partnerships, joint ventures, and other strategic
partnership opportunities.
- Participate in negotiation of business terms and support
development of legal agreements for provider affiliations and other
partnerships.
- Leverage data and business intelligence to analyze market and
internal dynamics; evaluate trends to anticipate new issues and
opportunities for the organization.
- Act as "think tank" to test opportunities for innovation within
the Market.
- Oversee Campus Business Development teams which will be
responsible to:
- Develop detailed tactical work plans and provide project
management to implement key initiatives.
- Ensure physician engagement in strategic initiatives.
- Direct provider outreach and gain/synthesize community
intelligence to inform strategy development.
- Monitor variances to understand Campus volume trends and
implement action plans, as needed.KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
REQUIRED:
- Ability to lead in living out the organizations' Mission,
Vision, and core values.
- Demonstrated ability to challenge the standard thinking with
new ideas, new approaches, and new solutions.
- Strong business acumen, intelligence, and capacity; able to
think strategically and implement tactically.
- Strong ability to drive rapid and effective decision-making on
key strategic initiatives.
- Finance orientation and experience with budgeting, analyzing,
planning, and pro forma development.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills. Able to
effectively express ideas and points of view to influence key
stakeholders through public speaking, presentations, reports, and
professional correspondence.
- Approaches work as an interconnected system. Ability to
understand major objectives and break them down into meaningful
action steps.
- Ability to navigate complex dynamics and political environments
to understand motivations and align key stakeholders around
strategic priorities.
- Knowledge of strategic health service market research and site
placement strategies.
- Knowledge of federal and state health care laws and
regulations, including federal and state anti-kickback statutes,
the Stark Law, and HIPAA.
- Exceptional people management, leadership skills, and the
capacity to relate to people in a manner that wins confidence and
establishes support.
- Strategic vision and thinking. Ability to position the
organization for the future, looking beyond the present situation
to conceptualize key trends and identify changing market
demands.KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS PREFERRED:Experience in Strategic
Planning, particularly within health care / health system provider
setting, with strong ability to synthesize analytics and market
intelligence to drive strategy, develop complex business plans, and
make data-driven recommendations.EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
REQUIRED:
- Master's Degree in Business, Health Services Administration,
Public Health, or related field OR equivalent experience in
healthcare strategy, business development, or management consulting
experience.
- Minimum of three (3) years in a leadership position.
- Minimum of six (6) years in healthcare, business development,
or project management.EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE PREFERRED:
- Familiarity with real estate development or equivalent.
- Experience in business term negotiations (closing and
integrating legal transactions).
