Job Description:
Solar Impact is looking for a Warehouse Assistant to support
warehouse, delivery, and inventory activities. This position
reports to the Warehouse Manager.

Job Roles:
--- Deliver materials to projects as needed
--- Assist with Physical Inventory Management
--- Assist with Maintenance of Warehouse, Vehicles and Grounds
--- Follow Solar Impact Policies and Procedures
Responsibilities:
--- Communicate and work closely with the Warehouse Manager in the
management of inventory
--- Follow and enforce the Materials Management Process
--- Efficiently stage project Bill of Materials (BOM)
--- Assist with control and accurate reporting of all inventory
movement in and out of the warehouse using prescribed forms
--- Assist with scheduled inventory counts
--- Ensure the accuracy of all receiving/issuing documents and
maintain all records relative to receiving/issuing activities
--- Assist with management of tool inventory: inspect for safety
and functionality, label, issue, track, and report movement in and
out of the warehouse, track lost or damaged tools, track new and
replacement tools
--- Assist with tracking and scheduling vehicle maintenance
--- Maintain grounds in a presentable manner (pick up trash, blow
leaves, water plants, ensure pathways and walkways are clear,
etc.)
--- Follow and enforce the use of prescribed PPE. Practice safe
lifting, climbing, and other safety techniques per OSHA
requirements
--- Utilize material handling equipment safely and efficiently
--- Keep warehouse and connexes secure when unattended
--- Identify opportunities to reduce costs and minimize risk
Qualifications:
Required
--- High school diploma or GED
--- General knowledge of math, reading, basic accounting, typing,
etc.
--- Organization, coordination, time management, and multi-tasking
abilities
--- Perform well under stress in a fast-paced environment
--- Communicate effectively and work well within a team
--- Valid driver's license, insurability, and reliable
transportation
--- Experience pulling trailers
--- Ability to report to work as scheduled and on time, work
overtime as needed
Preferred
--- 1+ years of prior warehouse experience
--- Forklift certified
--- Understanding of solar energy systems and roofing
--- Proficiency in Apple products and iOS
--- Proficiency in Windows Office applications
--- Experience with inventory management software
Physical Requirements:
--- Able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds unassisted and over 50
pounds with assistance
--- Capable of safely climbing ladders
--- Able to work in a non-airconditioned environment
--- Capable of performing tasks that may require prolonged standing
or sitting, walking, lifting, climbing, pulling, pushing, operating
a forklift or sitting at a computer
