Performs a variety of required tasks including servicing the injection mold tooling used on the production lines.Mold service includes assembly, disassembly, preventive and reactive maintenance of the injection mold and offline subcomponents, required to deliver production ready molds within tolerance and on time. These positions also support projects to drive continuous improvement. Maintains current knowledge and adheres to provisions of FDA, OSHA, GMP, MPs, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, equipment specifications and process specifications.   • Senior Level Position signed off and qualified in all areas from Levels I, II, & III as well as qualified for all facets of injection mold repair and maintenance, modifications, updates, and installation of complex equipment.
  • Performs maintenance of cassettes including cleaning, visual inspections, as well as precision metrology.
  • Able to perform advanced maintenance activities to injection mold hot sides.
  • Responsible for using equipment for troubleshooting, disassembly, and rebuilding multiple mold types to produce production ready molds according to established specifications.
  • Able to perform full disassembly and rebuild of cassettes used in injection molding.
  • Verifies and interprets parameters to ensure compliance. Demonstrates expertise in using mold database software.
  • Serves as the SME for their respective mold unit for both internal and external partners.
  • Interfaces directly with the Production floor, Engineering, and Optical Tooling personnel to assure that tooling inventories and scheduling requirements are met within required time constraints.
  • Attends meetings, leads projects, and advises on procedure updates.
  • Coordinates activities within the Mold Services Unit to assure that all production requirements meet quality, quantity, and timeline requirements while meeting all applicable safety standards.
  • Responsible for timely communication or escalation of conditions that have potential to impact production.
  • Executes and monitors manufacturing processes according to operational procedures.
  • Troubleshoots electrical and mechanical components and equipment.
  • Applies nonstandard techniques where normal procedures do not fulfill needs.
  • Performs regular inspections of all areas. Constructs, inspects, adjusts, tests, documents and maintains equipment, components, devices and systems.
  • Reviews technical reports, blueprints, and CAD files. Develops charts, graphs, schematics, and drawings to describe and illustrate machine, mold or component characteristics.
  • Makes recommendations to management on improving quality, efficiency, cost control, processes or productivity techniques.
  • Accountable for adhering to all quality and safety guidelines.
  • Train associates to established procedures.\r\r\r
