belong.\rWe are seeking a Post-Doctoral Fellow to join our dynamic
R&D materials characterization team. The candidate will
collaborate within a multidisciplinary group to investigate the
properties of materials used for ocular medical devices. The
overarching goal of this position is to identify material
characteristics important to the performance of hydrogel contact
lenses and interocular lenses. Project work will involve
development of new measurement strategies and novel approaches to
materials characterization, assessing method capability,
establishing trends across a variety of commercial and experimental
materials, and collaboration with formulation scientists to
understand structure-function relationships. Expertise in materials
and chemical analysis is required and the candidate should have
proficiency in characterization techniques related to surface
analysis, mechanical properties, chemical analysis, permeability,
spectroscopy, and microscopy. Forward thinking, creativity, and
careful experimentation are key aspects of this position.\rKey
