Job Description BAE Systems, one of the world's leading defense
contractors and a stable Fortune 500 Company, has an opening for a
Field Service Technician (FST). Candidate shall have worked on the
USN MK-41 VLS; and may be asked to travel (up to 50%). Some of the
work includes: Install, test, repair, maintain and remove
electrical, mechanical, and/or hydraulic systems and
equipment.Coordinate with shipyard customers on contractor
check-in, daily work assignments/progress, required services and
all required checkpoints.Coordinate tests or experiments requiring
selection and adaptation or modification of a wide variety of test
equipment and test procedures.Lead/supervise daily assigned work
for all personnel working on assigned VLS work items.Set up and
operating equipment and records data.Conduct preliminary analysis
of test results and reports findings to senior employees.Assist in
the preparation of tooling documentation and coordinates the
movement of these items to assigned field operations. Assist in the
preparation of required documentation and reporting to upper
management. Maintain a safe work environment and ensures compliance
with safety objectives and policies.Share responsibility of
self-development with immediate supervisor.Required Education,
Experience, & Skills MK 41 Vertical Launching Systems ISEA/FSR
Course, certificate of completion.High school diploma, GED or
equivalentTwo years vocational or mechanical training working with
basic electrical/mechanical/hydraulic instrumentation tools and
hardware plus two years of related work experience. May consider
equivalent combination of education and experience.Certification in
electrical or mechanical systems will put candidate at the top of
the list.Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills Working
knowledge of reading blueprints and technical repair
standards.Excellent oral and written communication
skills.Intermediate proficiency level with Microsoft word
processing, presentation, spreadsheet, database, email, and
calendar software.Ability to gather information from a variety of
sources.Excellent time management and multitasking skillsAbility to
work effectively with other personnel both inside and outside of
the organization.Prior experience on U.S. Navy weapons systems MK
41 VLS.Relevant ordnance coursework or training.Relevant work
experience in the defense industry. Pay InformationFull-Time Salary
Range: $65800 - $105300Please note: This range is based on our
market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined
by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business
considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as
well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and
