*Job Summary*We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will assist licensed physical therapists in providing high-quality patient care in Home Care. Experience in acute care, geriatrics, and orthopedics is a plus . This role requires a strong understanding of medical terminology and physiology, as well as the ability to implement treatment plans effectively.*Duties** Assist physical therapists in developing and implementing individualized treatment plans for patients.* Conduct therapeutic exercises and modalities under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist.* Monitor patient progress and provide feedback to the supervising therapist.* Educate patients and their families on treatment protocols, exercises, and home care strategies.* Maintain accurate documentation of patient treatments and progress notes.* Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure comprehensive patient care.* Participate in discharge planning to facilitate smooth transitions for patients leaving therapy.*Skills** Proficient in Homecare therapy practices and techniques.* Experience or knowledge in acute care, and geriatrics is preferred.* Familiarity with medical terminology relevant to physical therapy.* Knowledge of physiology and its application in rehabilitation settings.* Strong communication skills for effective patient interaction and education.* Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.* Commitment to providing compassionate patient care and support throughout the rehabilitation process.Job Types: Contract, Per diem, PRNPay: From $35.00 per hourExpected hours: 10 20 per weekBenefits:* Flexible scheduleMedical Specialty:* Geriatrics* Home Health* Neurology* Orthopedics* Sports MedicineSchedule:* Monday to Friday* Weekends as neededExperience:* Homecare: 1 year (Required)Work Location: In personby Jobble
