Job Description:

DescriptionPatriot Rail seeks a Communication & Stakeholder Relations Manager to drive Patriot Rail's external and internal communication and marketing initiatives and support public stakeholder engagement. The manager will have expertise in content writing, traditional and digital media, and promotional material design, with responsibility for supporting communications, marketing, website content and social media elevation. The role will also help support company engagement with community leaders and local public officials. Writing, expertise with both traditional and digital media, and superior personal communications are essential skills. This position will report to the Assistant Vice President, Communications and work closely with departments companywide, including frequent interface with the Chief Policy Officer.
Tasks Performed:

• 
  
• Assist AVP Communications with draft content for internal and external communications.
  
• Team with strategic project partners across the company to drive community relations.
  
• Interface directly with the Chief Policy Officer and Director of Grants & Public Investments on stakeholder engagement and public involvement initiatives.
  
• Assess employee communications and provide guidance on engagement opportunities for headquarter and field-based employees.
  
• Design and manage interactive online content, social media, and promotional materials.
  
• Collaborate across departments and services to ensure brand consistency.
  
• Work with the Technology Department and HR to support regular assessments of content on the employee portal and company website.
  
• Provide guidance on the aesthetic for campaigns, special projects, and promotional events to further stakeholder engagement across the rail network.
  
• Support Patriot's brand presence and elevation efforts, including assistance with trade show participation, community events and employee events.
  
  
  Mandatory Requirements:
  
  • 
    
  • Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, community relations, business, or a related field
    
  • Skilled content writer and storyteller
    
  • Prior experience and strong knowledge of social media platforms
    
  • Basic understanding of marketing concepts
    
  • Excellent communication skills
    
  • Superior organizational skills
    
  • Ability to adopt negotiation skills
    
  • Valid Drivers License
    
    
    
    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Railroad, short line railroad and/or transportation marketing communications experience
